Are You Willing to Trust? – Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle By: David Hoffmeister

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there should be a thing that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, that which was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your life since it is apparently nowadays with regards to the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So once we speak about the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It’s kind of like making a big house of cards, stacking on one card following the other. A good wind occurs and poof, it’s just blown over. It can’t even stand a little gust of wind. It’s so frail acim teacher. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon anything else; those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It surely comes down to the essence of who is my brother? Could it be Spirit or matter? Could it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that certain? So you’re asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This really is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I’ve given everything I see all the meaning it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number four, “These thoughts don’t mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s referring to thoughts. First He’s referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts don’t mean anything.” You can see he’s attempting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that’s the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they’re all illusions and that they’re all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What type of things can you invest in, nowadays?
